Cedar Valley Corp., LLC continued their winning ways this year, garnering two “Excellence in Concrete Pavement” awards at the American Concrete Pavement Association’s 22nd annual awards banquet this year. Held on December 2, 2011, in Indian Wells, California, Cedar Valley Corp. took home both a gold and silver award.
The awards program is designed to recognize quality concrete pavements constructed in the United States and Canada. Cedar Valley Corp. (CVC) has been the recipient of 16 national awards in the last eight years, and the only Iowa contractor to be recognized at the national level in the last (at least 7) years.
CVC received a gold award in the Overlays (Streets and Roads) category for their project on County Road L-22 in Sioux County, Iowa and a silver award in the Overlays (Highways) category for their project on Route 36 in Shelby County, Missouri.
The awards program encourages high-quality workmanship in concrete pavement projects and serves as a forum for sharing information about highly successful projects, recognizing those contractors, engineers and project owners who completed outstanding projects. The awards fall into 14 categories applicable to construction and preservation of highways, roadways, airports and industrial pavement facilities.
