On February 1, 2021, the Iowa Concrete Paving Association (ICPA) announced the winners of the 2020 Portland Cement Concrete Paving Awards.
In determining the winners of Iowa's most prestigious paving awards, 91 nominated projects were rated on smoothness, quality control, general appearane and workmanship, contractor management, safety, and project complexity. The ICPA and the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT), jointly evaluated and recognized projects as 2020's best concrete pavements built in twenty categories.
The Harrison County, I-29 project won in the Interstate Category.
The winner in the Divided Highway (Rural) Category was the Webster County, US 20 project.
Hwy 14 in Grundy and Marshall Counties was awarded in the PCC Overlay (State) Category.
Clay County, M54 near Webb was awarded in the PCC Overlay (County) Category.
In the Reliever/General Aviation Airports Category, the Mount Pleasant Airport was the winner.
