Cedar Valley Corp., LLC was awarded a Bravo Award at the annual Associated General Contractor of Iowa’s state convention in January 2012 for work performed in 2011. The Bravo Award is given in recognition of a company’s substantial contribution to Iowa through community service and philanthropy, and for serving as a leading example of corporate responsiveness on the part of the construction industry. The Bravo Award is the highest corporate award that the AGC of Iowa can present to a member company.
This award exemplifies Cedar Valley Corp.’s philosophy of giving back to the industry and our community. Over fifty non-profit agencies located in the greater Cedar Valley area benefited from Cedar Valley Corp.’s generous donations that were distributed through the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa.
Many agencies benefitted from the donations including, but not limited to: the Salvation Army, Operation Threshold, Children’s Cancer Connection, Boys and Girls Club of Black Hawk County, Black Hawk County Foster & Adoptive Parents, Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates (I-JAG), Black Hawk Wildlife Rehabilitation Project, Waterloo Center for the Arts, Waterloo Community Playhouse, and Black Hawk Children’s Theatre. Cedar Valley also made donations to Iowa State University, Feed the Starving Children, Greater Cedar Valley Alliance, Hawkeye Community College Forgivable Loan Fund, AGC of Iowa Foundation, AGC Education and Research Foundation, Shadow Boxers of Ambassadors for Christ Church, Junior League of Waterloo/Cedar Falls, “Adopt-A-Family” program, Resurrection Missionary Babtist Church, Fairbury, Nebraska High School, MDA, ALS Association Iowa Chapter, American Diabetes Association, March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Martin County, MN Humane Society, BGM Citizens’ Scholarship Foundation and Junior Achievement.
