Cedar Valley Helps Dreams Come True

Most every child yearns to sit on or get close to a big truck and big machinery. Cedar Valley helped make aspirations come true when they donated a Telehandler for display at the 3rd Annual Touch-A-Truck event that was hosted by the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls. The following article was taken from the Junior League's publication, The League Log, to explain the event.

 2012 Touch A Truck Event Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls

For over 70 years, the Junior League of Waterloo-Cedar Falls has sought to improve life in the Cedar Valley. Countless lives have been touched through the volunteer efforts and financial resources contributed by Junior League. Their local membership is approximately 280 women strong, including New Member, Active, and Sustaining members, representing a broad range of backgrounds and interests. As a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, they serve alongside 292 Junior Leagues throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Great Britain and have a collective membership of approximately 160,000 women.
