Cedar Valley Continues the Tradition

Date Published: Thursday, February 2, 2012

Cedar Valley Corp., LLC returned from the Iowa Concrete Paving Association's (ICPA) 48th annual convention with two paving awards to add to their collection. Receiving awards from the ICPA has become a yearly tradition for Cedar Valley. In fact, over the last 8 years the company has received 28 such awards.

Each year the convention attracts Iowa's top transportation leaders and builders including engineers, highway officials, contractors and consultants. They gather to exchange information and recognize last year's exceptional construction projects. Highlighting the three-day event was the presentation of the Portland Cement Concrete Paving Awards. To determine the winners of Iowa's most prestigious paving awards, nominated projects were rated on smoothness, quality control, general appearance and workmanship, contractor management, safety and project complexity. The ICPA and the Iowa Department of Transportation (IDOT) jointly evaluated and recognized the winning projects as 2011's best concrete pavements in various categories.

Cedar Valley was awarded for the following projects:

Woodbury County I-29 - Interstate Category I-29, Woodbury County

Montgomery County

       Montgomery County

       Secondary Roads Category

 Clinton Airport

  Clinton Airport

  Special Recognition

All three projects were submitted to the ACPA for national consideration. To view the national award results click here.
